SCHROEDER SHIELD AND TALUNGA SHIELD
Nominations are now open for the Schroeder Shield and Talunga Shield.
The prestigious Schroeder Shield is a men’s only fours event – with representative teams from HBA, Lower Murray and Southern Mallee competing. The event will be held at Murray Bridge on Sunday 9th January 2022 at 9.30am. Each Association will field 8 rinks – so 32 players are required from HBA. Lunch will be provided at a cost of $20 per player – with the HBA to meet the cost of it’s players lunches.

Performance in this match will be taken into account in selecting sides for the Nolan Walker Shield – to be held in Region 7 on 30th January 2022. If you are unable to play in the Schroeder Shield, but believe that you should be considered for selection in the Nolan Walker Shield – please contact the chairman of selectors Peter Mangelsdorf 0435 945 932.
The Talunga Shield is an open gender fours event – with representative teams from HBA competing against Lower Murray. The event will be held at Mannum on Sunday 30th January 2022 at 12.30pm. Each Association will field 7 rinks – so 28 players are required from HBA. All players who have played no more than TWO matches in a Saturday Division I pennant are eligible to enter. Subject to any Covid restrictions – high tea will be provided at a cost of $5 per player – with the HBA to meet the cost of it’s players.
