WOODSIDE TAKE HOME THE ROSE BOWL

An exuberant Woodside team defeated Mt. Barker Blue to win this year’s Thursday Ladies pennant final.

Mount’s Wendy Head and Woodside stalwart Annette Forbes had a close encounter all day – with the lead see-sawing throughout the later stages of the match.  However Head’s rink focused on the final ends to take the win 23-21.

Woodside’s Alex Reynolds was rarely troubled however in her 24-11 victory over Beth Young.

The 45-34 result gave the Woodside ladies their first premiership since the 2018 final.

The HBA extends its thanks to the Lobethal Club for hosting the event – the green was presented in superb condition, and the many spectators enjoyed the post match hospitality.
