The Bureau of Meteorology forecast for Mt. Barker for this coming Saturday is 39 degrees.

Therefore, in accordance with the new rules introduced at the start of the season – all Saturday matches/finals, will start at 10.00am. All practice must be completed prior to 9.30am. Once each match has started, the umpire must monitor the temperature each half hour, and if the temperature at the assigned weather station has reached or exceeded 38 degrees, play must be suspended, and the match proceed in accordance with HBA Match Rule 2.2.d.

The umpire at each venue should ensure that they are familiar with the HBA Match Rules.

Please do not contact the HBA about this – it is the responsibility of the umpire at each venue to ensure compliance with the rules. The rules are available for everyone to view on the HBA website.

In accordance with rule 2.3, play will be abandoned if the Bureau of Meteorology deem Saturday to be a Catastrophic Fire Ban Day.
