VALE – PETER O’SHAUGHNESSY

Dear Members,

It with much sadness that we advise of the passing of beloved HBA member Peter O’Shaughnessy.

“Mopsy” was well known amongst the bowling community – a long standing member and life member of the Uraidla Bowling Club, and life member of the Bridgewater-Callington Raiders Football Club.

A loveable larrikin, liked and respected by all for his down to earth and easygoing manner.

Mopsy was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in October last year, and we have all followed his progress – not only his battle with the disease, but the misfortunes which otherwise beset him financially.

We have been advised that Mopsy passed away peacefully on Christmas Day.

Our collective best wishes and condolences are extended to his family and friends – especially his children and grandchildren of whom he was very very proud.

We will pass on further details of funeral arrangements and any other memorials as information comes to hand.
